Our People

Shawn P. Duerr, CPA, is the founder and President of Blue Moon, CPA, PA. Originally from Long Island, New York. I graduated from Adelphi University with a B.B.A. in Accounting in 1994. After graduation. I worked as a bookkeeper.

In 2004, I moved to Orlando, Florida. I worked for a Certified Public Accountant who owned a tax and bookkeeping practice. In 2010, I graduated from Keller Graduate School of Management. I earned a Master of Accounting and Financial Management. In 2014, I earned my Certified Public Accountant license.

In 2018, I founded Blue Moon, CPA PA. I proudly serve clients in Orlando, Florida, and across the South Central region.

Our History

The original firm, Blue Moon, CPA, PA, began with general accounting services for businesses and individuals. This evolved into strategic planning for individual wealth maintenance, minimizing tax liabilities for individuals and corporations, auditing, and consulting services. We believe in "old school" principles, but we also keep up with the needs of individuals and businesses in this rapidly changing world.
